Condolences to the Kern family.  I will miss our conversations at Bubbas.  RIP Chuck.

I met Chuck at Bubba's Bison Inn and my husband George graduated with Chuck at Keystone Oaks.  Such an awesome guy---I will miss his smile.  Our condolences to his family.

First and foremost, my condolences to Chuck's family.  He was an amazing man.  Always greeted you with a smile when you walked into Bubba's.  Another Bethanian gone way too soon.  RIP my friend!

I first met Chuck in 2001 - he was one of the nicest people I've ever met. He always lifted the spirits of those around him - and despite knowing thousands of people, he always remembered personal details about idividuals. I was very sad to hear of his passing, his loss is a tremendous one to the greater Bethany, Avella, and West Liberty communities. While the loss is painful I think it is very telling what an impact Chuck had on the people in the community that his loss is felt so deeply.

Please accept my codolences, and be comforted by the fact that the pain of his loss is reflective of what a tremendous person and personality he was.

Heartfelt Prayers go out to Chuck's daughters. I hope you'll celebrate his life. It seems way too short, but his impact had ripples that will go on much longer....always a smile, always genuine, and always looking out for your best interest. Peace be with you.

He will missed by the multitudes

Chuck was a friend to all, confidant to those in need, a big brother to many and a loving family man.
He will be missed from all he met in Castle Shannon, Avella, Bethany and throughout the land....
I am proud to have known such a quality individual!
I am proud that he called me "Gramps" and told others I was his "Grampa" even though it was just an honorary title...
You will not be forgotten Dear Friend!...

Chuck could always put a smile on everyone's face.  He made us all feel at home even though many of us were 100's of mile from our homes.  Bethany College and the students, faculty, staff and alumni will surely miss Chuck's presence. I'm not sure how he did it, but even if it was 25 years since you stepped foot in the Bison Inn, Chuck still knew your name and had a welcoming smile for you.  May his memories and stories comfort you all in the coming days, weeks and months ahead.  Know that we are all thinking of you and sending love and sympathies.

My sincere condolences go out to both Chuck's immediate family as well as his Bison family.  May God comfort you all during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences go out to Chuck's family and to all the Bison alumni that knew him.  May God comfort you all during this most difficult time.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear the news of Chuck's sudden passing, as he had been a strong presence in the Bethany community for decades. So many memories . . . Perhaps he and Bubba have reunited and are joking and laughing over cocktails by now.

So sorry for your lose, I just lost my husband David Prevost in November. He also was on avella fire dept. Prayers for the family.
